U-PICK TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Early mornings and late evenings are the best times to pick! Bring appropriate footwear for wet grass and wear bug spray/ sunscreen.

  • A general rule of thumb… stiff stems are good stems! While it’s tricky to explain the perfect time to cut each type of flower, “limp” flowers just don’t last long. So while they may appear to be ready to be picked, do the wiggle test and determine whether the stem feels “stiff” or “wobbly”!

  • Once you’ve cut your stems and return to the table to arrange the flowers in your vase, remove all the leaves that will be at the neckline of the vase or lower. Removing the leaves allows for less bacteria to accumulate in the water and your flowers will last longer.

  • We recommend recutting the stems before putting them into the vase to make sure they can take in water optimally.

  • Once you get home, keep your flowers out of direct sunlight, change the water every other day and give those stems a fresh cut too while you’re at it!

Connecting you with nature and drawing you closer
to the person you want to be.

Nobody has it easy in this life. We are all searching for something more or something less, something to make our days a little lighter, or something to allow the burden to escape us even if just for a moment.

Being with nature and surrounding ourselves with God’s creation can help us do just that.

Nature is simple, grounding, wholesome, and pure. It always has been and always will be.
